Not to your neighbours, they suck and are easy targets, but to constant rebellions. You need to get expansion and exploration which are mediocre. It is like the russia region but without the bonuses.Ĥ. We are talking 30k stacks with good tech level and generals. And, unlike other areas, rebels spawn in huge numbers.
Everyone is revolting all the time and you have to do island hoping to even reach them. You supposedly have a good economy but the gold that these mercs chew (especially given that you have to play a really expansionist game from the get go) leaves you with nothing.ģ.
Your manpower is a total joke and you will need to merc up a lot more than in any other area of the world. This stupidity of constantly electing 1/1/4 or 4/1/1 or 1/4/1 rulers, without traits, is beyond belief. The extra gold every 10 years is ok I guess but it does not save you really. The pirate republic mechanic forces you to have a mediocre ruler your entire game or see your republican tradition tank.
